A global CPG business is investing heavily in its US expansion and is seeking a National Logistics Manager. This newly created, high-impact role is responsible for developing and executing a national distribution strategy, overseeing the transition to a new third-party logistics (3PL) partner, and driving performance improvements across warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
This hybrid remote position offers meaningful leadership, visibility with global teams, and the opportunity to shape a high-growth business’s logistics strategy and infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national logistics strategies to support business growth and distribution objectives.
- Manage daily operations in partnership with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, including warehousing, inbound and outbound transportation, and inventory oversight.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure service level agreements are met, optimize delivery routes, and minimize logistics costs.
- Oversee import/export operations, compliance, and documentation in collaboration with global teams and freight forwarders.
- Monitor key performance metrics, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support automation or system upgrades.
- Plan for network scalability, including evaluating additional 3PL locations based on market and sales growth.
Ideal Candidate:
- Background in domestic logistics/transportation with experience managing multi-site or national distribution, warehousing, and customer service.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations a bonus but not required.
- Demonstrated experience managing 3PL provider relationships and their performance.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills in fast-paced, high-volume distribution or logistics environments.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities with a record of driving cost efficiencies, service rates, and compliance.
- Familiarity with SAP, WMS/TMS systems are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field and industry certifications are a plus.
- Ideally based near Woodland, California, with some flexibility for hybrid work.
