Newly created opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to revamp the cost model and pricing strategy at a highly profitable CPG business with a rapidly expanding portfolio and distribution footprint.

 

You will be a key partner to the CEO and CFO as they build the strategic plan to expand the business by 3–5x over the next five years. This role is central to streamlining data-driven decision-making and supporting joint business planning for major retail customers, while enhancing efficiency across operations, sales, and supply chain.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Build and manage recurring monthly and quarterly reporting of KPIs, financial performance, and variance analysis for senior leadership and board/investor presentations
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts in partnership with operations and accounting
  • Overhaul the company’s pricing strategy—including import, logistics, and distribution costs—to support margin optimization
  • Drive profit margin improvement and support volume growth with existing customers through hands-on Excel modeling and data analysis
  • Initiate and manage strategic projects to improve operational performance and cost transparency
  • Monitor and analyze company KPIs and collaborate with functional leads to address variances and opportunities
  • Work closely with the business development and executive teams to execute the company’s ambitious growth strategy
  • Collaborate with the CFO on financial priorities, ensuring timely and high-quality monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting

  • Strong systems experience with the ability to lead reporting improvements and automate insights
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, operations finance, or commercial/sales finance in a CPG or distribution setting
  • Background in supporting sales, logistics, or operations in a retail or consumer-focused business
  • Strong Excel modeling skills and comfort managing complex pricing and margin models
  • Track record of helping a business scale and improve profitability
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus
