Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated FP&A Analyst to join a collaborative financial team focused on supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis initiatives. This role works cross-functionally with executive leadership, accounting, and operations to enhance financial visibility and inform strategic planning.
Responsibilities
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of financial and operational tasks, including:

Assisting in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget for farming operations

Supporting quarterly budget variance analysis and management reporting

Conducting cost-benefit analyses on proposed initiatives and investments

Gathering benchmarking data against industry standards and peer groups

Performing operational and financial analyses to support decision-making at the farm level

Building and maintaining analytical tools and dashboards for reporting purposes

Preparing crop performance reports and insights for leadership review

Participating in field visits to deepen understanding of production practices and cost drivers

Maintaining and updating ranch attribute data and Crop Performance Reports (CPR)

Supporting analyses related to regression modeling, input pricing, labor costs, and crop quality metrics

Assisting with crop insurance modeling and reporting

Contributing to ad hoc financial modeling and special projects as needed
Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within agriculture, agribusiness, or a related field

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Agribusiness, or a similar discipline

Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with macros is a plus

Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms

Exposure to ERP systems such as Famous and tools like ARC-GIS is preferred

Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
