The Challenge

The largest kiwi fruit, navel, and mandarin orange grower/shipper in North America required a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive margin enhancements and improve operational efficiency in the citrus division.

The challenge was in finding a candidate with a background in operations finance within permanent tree crops who also understood the complexity of retail pricing for commodity-based food products.

The Solution

3P Partners successfully placed a local candidate with 14 years of progressive FP&A experience with the last 10 years dedicated to providing hands-on financial forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis for six business units ($800MM aggregated revenue) in the permanent tree crop industry. This portfolio included six crops across 100,000 acres in 10 states.
