Position Summary:  

  • The Regional Foodservice Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of the Foodservice segment of a reputable protein business.

  • You will maintain and expand relationships with Foodservice distributors and customers in the PNW region.  By analyzing sales data and fostering strong customer connections, you will develop and execute strategies to increase sales and market share while providing value added solutions to your customers

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of product portfolio to effectively communicate specs with customers. 
  • Develop and implements a sales plan for the region including goals for volume, price, product mix, and market share.  
  • Partner with the marketing team to establish specific customer marketing programs and develop a brand strategy within region that includes identifying unique products and reflect changing menu trends.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to accomplish the company and sales specific strategic initiatives.  Manage customer order management, ad planning, new customer and product presentations, and customer analysis.
  • Represent the business at regional trade shows.
  • Analyze POS and shipment data to evaluate regional performance and make recommendations and strategy adjustments.
  • Develop an annual sales forecast and budget and execute against the forecast for all assigned accounts, making changes throughout the year as needed as a key input to sales finance.
  • Acts as a technical representative to the customer, providing training and solutions to business issues facing the customer.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of foodservice sales experience.  Perishable food industry experience and knowledge is preferred.  
  • Track record of increasing regional sales for a food company
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, while thriving in a remote environment.  
  • 70% travel within the region visiting accounts and opportunities. 
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite including PowerBI
