Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a legacy food business with a global footprint? We’re looking for a Senior Operations Finance Manager to join its flagship operations team in California. This is your opportunity to lead budget planning, implement cutting-edge systems, and drive process improvements for an expanding, vertically integrated food business.

What You’ll Do
Financial Planning & Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations to develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategic 5-year plan.
  • Create scenario models and provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Lead process improvement efforts to simplify workflows and enhance forecasting accuracy.

Capital Planning & Budgeting:

  • Manage the annual budget roll-up process and conduct monthly capital reviews with the Operations team.
  • Oversee NPV analysis for capex requests and monitor budget performance.

Cost Management & Unit Cost Modeling:

  • Partner with Operations to track production volumes and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Own the unit cost modeling process for Nursery operations, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Month-End Close & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the Controller to provide variance analysis and deliver management reports for Operations.

Systems Implementation:

  • Be a key player in designing and implementing the new Oracle Inventory Management & Costing System.
  • Ensure the system’s functionality meets long-term goals while improving structure and efficiency.

People Leadership & Development:

  • Oversee team members in both the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Build a culture of training, mentorship, and development to ensure long-term team success.

What You Bring
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of operations finance experience in a vertically integrated business, including 3-5 years in management.
  • Strong background in unit-based costing and cost accounting within a vertically integrated food company. 
  • Experience with ERP system implementations or upgrades.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus.
  • Willing to be onsite 4 days a week.
