Title: CFO
Location: Greater Sacramento area
Reports to: CEO
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals and objectives as set forth by the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes and deploy PowerBI into the business.
- Improve forecasting at the GL level.
- Conduct financial analysis, scenario planning, and business modeling to support strategic initiative and future M&A.
- Collaborate with cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute growth strategies. Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, partnerships, and markets that will drive growth.
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and other stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency and effective communication with Board of Directors.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Team Development, Strategic Leadership and Decision Support:
- Build out the finance and accounting team to support the organization’s growth.
- Focus on career planning and development of the current and future team.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and leadership team for decision-making and strategy formulation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial executive in a comparable organization. Experience in a family-owned business is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is required. CPG experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP and reporting systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI is preferred. Implementation/systems transformation experience is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of developing and executing financial strategies.
- Demonstrated success in driving business development initiatives and expanding customer base.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading risk management efforts, including futures, hedging, etc. is a bonus.
- Ability to lead high-performing finance and accounting team.
