Title: Data Engineer

Location: Onsite position in the Greater Sacramento, CA area

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, develop interactive Power BI dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves maintaining data architectures, managing ETL processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in SQL, Python, and Power BI, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and integration. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to shape the company’s data infrastructure as the business scales.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain data architectures (databases, data lakes, data warehouses).
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and supply chain, to understand data visualization needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
  • Monitor data performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Automate data processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Document data workflows, processes, and architecture diagrams.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Experience creating and modeling a Data Warehouse from multiple data sources
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Extensive experience with Power BI, including data modeling and report development. Experience with DAX studio is a plus.
  • Experience working with ERP databases is a plus
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of database management and data security principles.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.

Salary range: $120-140K base salary
