Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Hybrid – Fresno, CA
Position OverviewThe Human Resources Manager is a motivated and relationship-oriented professional responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services to employees and managers. This role oversees workforce planning and human resources functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, training, development, and compliance. The HR Manager fosters a culture of open communication and trust across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR plans and procedures to align with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations related to HR functions.
- Lead recruitment processes, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding to fill vacancies efficiently.
- Conduct new employee orientations to promote a positive introduction to the company.
- Administer and maintain benefit programs, personnel records, and reporting systems.
- Provide management training on key topics such as communications, diversity, and compliance.
- Manage employee relations matters, offering guidance on performance management and conflict resolution.
- Oversee leave administration (e.g., FMLA, CFRA, PFL) and ensure seamless coordination.
- Develop and update job descriptions and organizational policies, including the employee handbook.
- Administer wage surveys and provide recommendations on compensation and benefits adjustments.
- Lead initiatives to foster a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and participate in claims reviews as necessary.
- Support employee development through training, evaluations, and counseling.
- Prepare and analyze reports on workforce metrics, absenteeism, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct exit interviews and address unemployment claims.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or 5–8 years of HR experience.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California and Federal employment laws.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in conversational Spanish preferred.
- Advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity, urgency, and results orientation.
- Broad understanding of safety protocols and compliance.
