The Plant Manager is responsible for all Manufacturing, Packaging, Inventory, and Distribution operations as well as manufacturing support functions: Engineering, Quality, Safety and Maintenance. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of the customers, while maximizing operational effectiveness. The position will provide daily direction and leadership to all departments and ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures. The Plant Manager is responsible for monitoring performance, setting expectations and development of staff.
Key Deliverables
- Foster a shared commitment among all employees to prioritize and be responsible for safety and quality.
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures that produce products that meet quality, cost, volume and service criteria, and objectives.
- Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards meet our customers' expectations.
- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives and goals.
- Work closely with functional departments to ensure coordination between sales, customer service, loading, shipping, purchasing, receiving and finance.
- Maintain individual skills, keeping up to date with best practices around production management and manufacturing technology.
- Establish, manage and maintain a well-trained and motivated staff. Develop and implement comprehensive plans to develop employees.
- Produce products in a manner that meets the quality and value expectations of customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, and other company policies
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business or technical field or commensurate experience.
- 7 years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years or more of direct managerial experience.
- Energetic, creative, self-directed manager with high level of integrity.
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- In depth understanding of all areas of operations management.
Compensation range: $160-180K base salary + bonus
