Position Overview
This role is responsible for driving top-line growth through the sale of premium meat products across retail and foodservice channels. Success in the position requires a strong understanding of value-based selling, carcass utilization, and market differentiation. The Sales Manager will serve as a key cross-functional partner in aligning supply and demand, launching new products, and strengthening customer relationships. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that combines revenue generation with operational coordination to support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to meet performance targets.
  • Personally manage key accounts through regular calls and in-person visits.
  • Execute sales strategies, promotions, and product launches in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and secure new business opportunities.
  • Align supply and demand forecasts with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead annual budgeting for sales volume, revenue, and margins.
  • Build strong customer relationships across foodservice, retail, and distribution channels.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism to clients and industry partners.
  • Conduct business reviews to identify growth opportunities.
  • Track KPIs and provide data-driven sales insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance to optimize profitability and monitor sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in sales or operations within the food or meat industry.
  • Experience selling branded or premium meat products
  • Knowledge of protein sales across retail and foodservice sectors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in sales platforms or BI tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
