A privately-owned agribusiness in the Central Valley, California created a Controller position as a succession plan for their CFO who had a 40-year tenure with the business.

The challenge was in finding a candidate who could leverage their technical accounting skills to enhance financial controls and reporting systems and could deliver business insights to the owners, in addition to Operations and Sales teams, as they considered avenues to expand production capacity.
