Human Resources Business Partner search for Northern California Grocery Chain
BY 3P Partners | December 27, 2022

Framing The Search Assignment

Position: Human Resources Business Partner

Client: Privately-held Regional Grocery Chain

The Challenge

3P Partners were tasked with the search for a Human Resources Business Partner to support a team of 2,100+ employees for a regional grocery chain, headquartered in Davis, California.

The Human Resources Business Partner would mentor, coach, and help problem-solve with 15 Store Directors

Cultural fit was paramount as this business had been voted Fortune’s “100 Best Places to Work” for 17 consecutive years.

The brief was to find a seasoned HR professional who was passionate about people, enjoyed a challenge, and was well-versed in the legal aspects of Human Resources, including current federal and California state labor law.

The Solution

3P Partners headhunted and placed an individual within 2 months of commencing the search.

The successful candidate was a detail-oriented individual with 6+ years of human resources and payroll management experience supporting large employee populations.

This individual was selected because they were SHRM certified and had extensive experience providing floor-level employee coaching and development while fostering a purpose-driven and collaborative environment.
