Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated finance professional to collaborate with our financial and operations teams. This role focuses on creating financial plans, developing strategies, and preparing detailed financial reports. It’s an opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise and leadership to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the accounting leadership team in managing and guiding the organization’s accounting functions.
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of consolidated GAAP financial statements.
- Ensure all tax-related information is precise and submitted on time to support tax filings.
- Provide reporting support, including audit schedules, tax schedules, and strategic tax planning.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, overseeing daily accounting activities.
- Review multi-entity trial balances, working in both accrual and cash basis accounting.
- Oversee and review monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Approve accounts payable payment runs, cash receipts, income charges, and weekly cash reports.
- Supervise inter-company billing cycles and review interest calculations on loans.
- Manage fixed assets, including acquisitions, dispositions, depreciation, and property tax returns.
- Analyze general ledgers for unusual items or errors and make corrections as needed.
- Enhance productivity through automation and improved accounting processes.
- Supervise the accounting team, offering support and resources for professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends through ongoing professional development and training.
- Work both independently and collaboratively to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA certification or progress toward a CPA is a plus.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a management role.
- Experience in public accounting, particularly in audit or tax, is a plus.
