This highly visible position offers unlimited upward trajectory. You will be a key member of a global process improvement team and prepare reports for the parent company.

The role is responsible for leading and coaching the accounting team, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, managing internal controls, and delivering all financial reporting for the US business unit and the international segment. In addition, this role is responsible for managing cashflow and working capital requirements, coordinating all internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with all taxation, financial, and other regulatory requirements.

The role will also partner with local and international teams to identify and implement process improvements, align on best practices, and contribute to the harmonization of accounting and business processes across the business unit to improve financial reporting processes and controls.


  • Lead month-end closing procedures, overseeing journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations. Prepare month-end reports, conducts variance analysis, and re-classifications.
  • Manage capex processes, including accounting entries, WIP and fixed asset reconciliation, and report preparation.
  • Prepare half-year and full-year reporting schedules, reports, and analysis, addressing queries as needed.
  • Prepare weekly operational reports (aging, capex, cash flow).
  • Oversee grower services administration and accounting, including outsourced services.
  • Manage inventory accounting, adjustments, reconciliations, reporting, and counts.
  • Supervise AP/AR functions, including transactions and rebate accruals.
  • Develop and maintain accounting SOPs, ensuring team compliance.
  • Manage working capital for liquidity optimization and operational needs. Prepares short and long-term cash flow forecasts. Assist with annual budgeting for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach direct reports, facilitating performance feedback and career development plans.
  • Manage internal and external audits, addresses findings, and ensures compliance.
  • Responsible for filing tax reports (income, property, sales/use) and liaise with tax providers. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and audit requirements.
  • Support harmonization of US accounting and business processes with international teams. Review policies, recommend improvements, and enhance efficiency and controls.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, or CPG environment
  • Proficiency in preparing financial reporting for a >$100MM company with a complex ownership structure.
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS with experience with internal and external audits.  
  • Knowledge of US regulatory environment, including local, state, and federal reporting and taxation requirements.
  • Experience leading an accounting team through process improvements relating to internal control systems and risk management.
  • Intellectually curious with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail with strong ERP and Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related. CPA or equivalent required.
