Export Supply Chain Manager search for food business in California
BY 3P Partners | December 6, 2021

A complex, high volume food business shipping 1 billion pounds of product p.a. to more than 60 different countries sought an Export Supply Chain Manager to streamline systems and provide hands-on leadership for a team of four. The Export Manager would be responsible for all aspects of the export supply chain from contract negotiation through to distribution, including booking trucking and ocean vessels with carriers and NVOCCs.

The challenge was to find an ambitious, detail-oriented self-starter who operates at a faster than average cadence to tackle obstacles relating to port congestion on the West Coast. The candidate needed to be capable of collecting and communicating large quantities of data and leveraging systems to automate processes. This highly visible role would be tasked with preparing reports and statistics for senior management.

Within 6 weeks, 3P Partners successfully placed a local candidate with 12 years of export logistics experience. They were selected for their systems automation and leadership skills as well as their track record of developing creative solutions regarding freight issues and trucking shortages.
